The house is located in Comporta, Portugal. The site consists in a pure and untouched landscape, with a leveled sandy ground that contrasts with the verticality of the existing pine trees.

The concept of the project was to establish a connection between the residence and its surrounding nature, in a non-invasive way. As a result, two conceptual concrete boxes were designed, connected by a glass gallery.

The house was placed directly on the ground, appearing as something that was born from it and a contemporary architectural language was chosen to minimize the impact.

In order to encourage a strong relation between inside and outside, big window frames were created, although some of those windows were pushed back to avoid direct sun light. Consequently, the result was exterior covered porches in close contact with nature.

With 3 bedrooms and a master suite, natural and minimal lines were also thought for the inside, with white walls and wooden floors.
