The LifeStraw Go-Stage claims 1000L but the Universal claims 4000L, don't they both use the same filter?
Yes, both the LifeStraw Go 2-stage and the LifeStraw Universal use the same filter and our 2-stage replacement filters can be used with either product. Both filters have a lifespan of 4000L or 1000 gallons. The claim of 1000L or 264 gallons for the LifeStraw Go 2-stage is from when we stated the minimum tolerance level of our testing rather than the actual lifespan that was achieved during both internal and external lab testing. You can be confident that either product will live up to our updated claim of 4000L or 1000 gallons.
