OUR NEO-CLASSICAL CAPSTAN TABLES

Updated: Mar 5, 2021

The concept of a self contained and fully mechanised expanding circular table was originated by Nick Dearden back in the mid nineties. Since then many copies of his concept have been attempted. The super-sleek styling of the latest Dearden Collection reveals an elegant operating mechanism, crafted in stainless steel, aluminium and glass.

Through precision engineering and meticulous design detail, the Iris effortlessly expands the table’s diameter. Each table is built by hand to the client’s own personal style before being engraved with their name and authenticated to record provenance.

The Zurich

Burmese Teak segments expand to reveal Chestnut Burr arrows and stunning centre piece, a brushed Stainless Steel star. This version of the Zurich colour scheme is fully automated, Size 4 is a world’s first, incorporating an 8 segment surface that expands from 2 meters (78.7”) to 3 meters (118.1”). this addition to the collection sets the standard for future developments.

The London

Burr Walnut and Fumed Oak Veneer. The London has a stainless steel frame mounted with bright chrome fittings and anodized aluminum base rings. The Walnut veneers seamlessly match, complimenting the fumed Oak. London reflects an inspired modern-meets-traditional aesthetic. Finishes available in a high gloss or satin, with or without visible mounting studs.

The Milan

Bronze and Green tinted glass with a fumed Oak pedestal and a polished aluminium base. This style evokes modern classicism, combining hints of gold detail with bronze and green tinted glass. Paying homage to its Italian inspiration it would be equally at home in a Milan penthouse or a superyacht.
